QASR AL MUWAIJI BRAND IDENTITY
The brief was to create an inspiring brand identity for the presidential palace “Qasr Al Muwaiji”, which was the childhood home of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed President of the UAE. An iconic new building linked to the existing Palace will house a Gulf Research Centre, a national exhibition dedicated to Sheikh Khalifa, and a centre for learning, debate and dialogue.
The iconic project aims to develop a new generation of young leaders, stimulate learning, re-search and understanding, and preserve Al Ain’s architectural heritage. Qasr Al Muwaiji will be an educational institution providing a comprehensive learning, research and exhibition facility dedicated to providing access to national, regional and international collections related to the modern history of the Gulf.
The challenge was to capture the essence of the brand and create a platform that holds together all sub brands while keeping the right balance between the historical value and the progressive future ambitions of the brand.
The outcome was a brand identity inspired by the architectural elements of the palace in a mini-malistic approach that represents the multifaceted nature of the brand.
